📍 Tiananmen Square
A symbolic red landmark in the heart of Beijing, paved with light-colored granite slabs. Key monuments include the Monument to the People’s Heroes and Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum.
📍 Forbidden City
Founded in 1925 inside the Ming and Qing imperial palace, the Forbidden City is now home to the Palace Museum — the largest ancient art museum in China. Its vast collection mainly comes from Qing dynasty imperial treasures. It’s one of the world’s top three palace complexes and a major patriotic education base.
📍 Temple of Heaven
A UNESCO World Heritage Site where emperors once prayed for harvests. Major structures include the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, Circular Mound Altar, and Imperial Vault of Heaven, all aligned on a central axis.

📍 Beijing Olympic Park
A modern landmark and a symbol of China’s 2008 Olympic legacy. The park features 10 competition venues including the iconic Bird’s Nest (National Stadium), Water Cube (National Aquatics Center), and the Ice Ribbon (National Speed Skating Oval). The site blends sports, culture, science, and public recreation in a massive multifunctional space.

📍 Yuanmingyuan (Old Summer Palace)
A patriotic education site built in 1988 on the ruins of the once-glorious imperial garden. Though much of it lies in ruins, visitors can still see the preserved garden layout, artificial hills, stone carvings, and the remains of the Western Mansions. A museum stands on the original site to commemorate its history.
📍 Summer Palace (Yiheyuan)
China’s best-preserved imperial garden, designed around Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill. Inspired by West Lake in Hangzhou and traditional Jiangnan garden design, it features beautiful pavilions, scenic bridges, and classic landscapes. Often called the “Museum of Imperial Gardens.”
📍 Tsinghua University (Exterior View)
One of China’s most prestigious universities, under direct administration of the Ministry of Education. A member of elite programs like Project 985 and Project 211, Tsinghua is known as the cradle of China’s top engineers and scientists. Exterior visits only.

Another leading institution in China, often visited together with Tsinghua for those interested in China’s academic excellence.
