After you arrive in Xi’an, your private guide will be waiting to greet you at the airport or railway station. With your dedicated driver, you’ll be transferred safely and comfortably to your hotel for check-in. Once you’ve had a short break, your guide and driver will accompany you to Datang Furong Garden for an unhurried afternoon.
Built to showcase the spirit of the Tang Dynasty, this grand royal-style garden is filled with elegant pavilions, ornate timberwork, and classical architecture that echoes Xi’an’s golden age. You’ll stroll through the garden’s highlights-such as Furong Lake, Ziyun Tower, and the Ladies’ Pavilion -while your guide shares the stories behind the designs, the rituals of court life, and the historical details that bring the scenery to life.
The pace is deliberately relaxed, with time to pause for the curved bridges, flowing water, and seasonal blooms that make the park feel quietly cinematic. If you’re interested, you can also take part in on-site intangible cultural heritage handicrafts, such as Tang-style rubbings or traditional papermaking, for a more hands-on cultural moment. In the evening, enjoy a specially arranged Tang Palace Banquet experience.
Your guide will accompany you to a beautifully designed Tang-style venue, where the atmosphere shifts from sightseeing to immersion. Step into a traditional courtyard setting, dress in refined Hanfu, and ease into the rhythm of Tang-inspired elegance. Dinner is presented with both Shaanxi character and Tang-era aesthetics, with dishes paired to cultural references and stories.
As you dine, professional performers bring the night to life with Tang music and dance, guzheng melodies, and iconic performances such as the Huxuan Dance -ancient music in the air, silk sleeves in motion, and a setting that feels theatrical without being rushed. After the banquet, your private car will take you back to the hotel for a restful night-smooth, comfortable, and effortlessly paced from start to finish.

Morning: After breakfast, your private guide and driver will meet you at your hotel. Travel by private vehicle to the Xi’an Ancient City Wall, one of the best-preserved city fortifications in China. Built during the Ming Dynasty, it’s more than an impressive structure-your guide will walk you through how it shaped the city’s defenses, and why Xi’an held such strategic weight in China’s long history.
If you’d like, you can enjoy a relaxed walk along the wall top-or choose an optional bike ride for a different perspective. Next, continue into the lively lanes of the Muslim Quarter. Your guide will introduce the district’s unique blend of Chinese and Islamic heritage, point out local specialties worth trying, and help you enjoy the atmosphere without feeling overwhelmed by the crowds.
Afternoon: Drive to the Xi’an Museum for a deeper look at the city’s cultural layers. With your guide’s interpretation, the collections feel less like “objects in cases” and more like stories of an ancient capital-its people, its dynasties, and its changing role over time. Inside the museum grounds, take a gentle walk to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, where the Tang-era memory of Chang’an still feels present in the quiet courtyards and timeless lines of the architecture.
Later, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, one of Xi’an’s most important cultural and spiritual symbols. Your guide will share the legends and history behind it-and how it has stood through more than 1,300 years of change.
Evening: Your driver will take you to Datang Everbright City. Your guide will map out an easy walking route, share practical tips, and then let you enjoy the night scene at your own pace-where Tang-inspired lighting and modern city energy meet in one of Xi’an’s most memorable evenings.
Accommodation: Xi'an
Hotel: Handpicked boutique hotel (Local 4-Star Standard or above)
Meals: Daily breakfast at the hotel
Morning: After breakfast, your guide and driver will accompany you by private vehicle to today’s headline experience: the Emperor Qinshihuang’s Terracotta Warriors Museum, a world-famous site dating back to 210 BC. On arrival, your guide will walk you through the layout of the underground formations, the craft details that make each figure distinct, and the historical context behind the first emperor’s vision.
Standing before thousands of life-size warriors, horses, and chariots, you’ll feel the scale, discipline, and weight of history in a way photos can’t capture.
Afternoon: Continue by private car to Huaqing Palace (Huaqing Hot Springs) -the royal hot-spring retreat associated with Emperor Xuanzong and Yang Guifei, and the setting behind the story of The Song of Everlasting Sorrow. Your guide will share the legends and court traditions tied to the site, then take you to see Tang-era bath relics such as the Lotus Pool and Starlight Pool, with views toward Mount Li that deepen the atmosphere of ancient Chang’an.
Later: After the visit, travel directly to Huayin, the town at the foot of Mount Huashan. Your guide will assist with hotel check-in so you can settle in early, recharge, and be well prepared for tomorrow’s Huashan hike.
Accommodation: Mount Huashan (foothill area / Huayin)
Hotel: Near the Huashan scenic area for an easier start
Meals: Daily breakfast at the hotel
Morning: After breakfast, your private guide and driver will be waiting at the hotel to begin your Mount Huashan hiking day. Travel by private vehicle to the mountain area, then switch to the park shuttle for the cable car station. Ride the cable car up to North Peak -one of Huashan’s most popular peaks, known for its open terrain and wide views, and a smart starting point for a rewarding hike without an exhausting climb from the bottom.
Midday &
Afternoon: From North Peak, set off on your hike and experience Huashan’s signature character-dramatic ridgelines, steep granite faces, and the famous mix of “strange, steep, rugged, and beautiful.” Along the way, twisted pines cling to the cliffs, rock formations rise sharply from the mountain, and panoramic views unfold with every turn. Your guide will suggest the best viewpoints and photo spots, helping you capture the layered peaks and shifting sea of clouds when conditions allow.
With legends, history, and natural highlights woven into the walk, the hike feels immersive and engaging-not just physically impressive. Later: After the hike, return by private vehicle to your hotel in Xi’an for a comfortable evening and a well-earned rest.

If Time Allows: Before you leave, you may choose to stop at Yongxingfang for a final taste of Xi’an’s everyday life. Your guide can introduce local favorites such as roujiamo (Chinese-style pork sandwich), the fun tradition of “smashing-bowl” rice wine, and classic Shaanxi dishes like steamed bowl specialties, along with the folk culture that makes this district so lively. It’s a warm, memorable way to end your time in Xi’an-one last glimpse of the city’s real street-side charm.
Departure: Your private transfer to the airport or railway station will be arranged in line with your onward travel schedule. While this marks the end of your Xi’an journey, it doesn’t have to be the end of your China travels.
