10-Day Panda and Scenic China Private Tour: Chengdu, Jiuzhaigou and Zhangjiajie

Morning: Start early at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, when the pandas are usually most active. Walk through bamboo-lined paths and watch giant pandas eating bamboo, climbing, resting and playing in a habitat designed for their care. Depending on the season and the nursery schedule, you may also see younger pandas from designated viewing areas.

Afternoon: Continue to People’s Park for a slower look at local Chengdu life. Sit in a traditional teahouse, see residents playing cards or practicing music, and feel the city’s easy rhythm. Later, stroll through Jinli Ancient Street, where Sichuan-style architecture, lanterns, snacks and small shops create a lively evening atmosphere.

Spice levels for local food can be adjusted according to your preference.

Morning: Spend the day exploring Jiuzhaigou National Park, one of China’s most famous alpine landscapes. Private vehicles are not allowed inside the park, so your guide will help you use the park eco-shuttle system efficiently between the main valleys and viewpoints. See clear lakes, layered waterfalls, forested slopes, Tibetan village scenery and water colors that shift with light and season.

Afternoon: Continue through selected areas such as Shuzheng Valley, Rize Valley or Zechawa Valley according to weather, park traffic and your energy level. Lunch is flexible inside or near the park. Later, transfer back toward Chengdu by the confirmed transport arrangement.

Evening: Arrive in Chengdu and check in for a restful night.

Morning: Enter Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, famous for thousands of narrow sandstone pillars rising from deep green valleys. Ride the Bailong Elevator to reach the Yuanjiajie area, where viewpoints reveal the dramatic landscapes often associated with the floating mountains in Avatar. Your guide will choose the walking route based on weather, visibility and crowd levels.

Afternoon: Continue to Tianzi Mountain or nearby viewpoints for wider views over layers of peaks and ravines. The visit uses park shuttle buses and selected walking paths, so the pace can be adjusted to your comfort. Return to Wulingyuan after the park visit and enjoy a relaxed evening.

Morning: Explore Tianmen Mountain, one of Zhangjiajie’s signature landmarks. The visit usually includes the long cable car ride, cliffside pathways, glass skywalk sections and the dramatic Tianmen Cave area, with the exact route adjusted according to weather and scenic-area operations. The mountain views are expansive, and clear days offer some of the most memorable panoramas of the trip.

Afternoon: After descending, continue by private vehicle to Furong Ancient Town. Built around a waterfall and traditional wooden houses, Furong is especially atmospheric in the evening when lights reflect on the water. Check in and enjoy time to walk through the old streets.

Morning: Enjoy a final relaxed morning in Fenghuang Ancient Town. Depending on your departure time, you may take one more walk along the river or simply rest before the transfer.

Departure: Your private driver will transfer you to Changsha, Zhangjiajie or another agreed departure point according to your onward flight or train schedule. This marks the end of your 10-day Chengdu, Jiuzhaigou and Zhangjiajie private journey. If you plan to continue elsewhere in China, the route can be extended before final booking.
